THANKS
to everyone who celebrated our last night at Toast Lounge on April 25th!

Doors opened at 8 pm and by 8.20 pm we were already at capacity.  Over 200 people weren't able to make it in -including many of our regulars and my friends!  Sorry everyone (and next time I send out an email to get there early- take heed!)

Here are some highlights
(and my heartfelt thanks-click on underlined text for link):

Janice, the new head chef at Toast, prepared delicious complimentary passed hors'devours that just kept coming out of the kitchen from 8-10 pm

Violinist, Molly Shira serenaded patrons as they entered the front lounge

Mad Femme Pride(MFP) was there in force signing up contestants for game shows and creating magical memory keepsakes of my last years of service

Dyke Night staff took the stage to entertain with several numbers including Elizabeth's karaoke, Reg's Over the Rainbow acapella, Chris and Robins hysterical lyp synch, Gogo's lyrical manifesto, and a group of us that included Billy, and Rachel and I performing the Grease megamix.

Chris, security staff, created a slide show of the last 10 years of Dyke Night that was hysterical (especially my pink flat top hair do!) and oh so fun to watch throughout the night

Christine (from MFP) saved the day by jumping in as emcee gorgeoso and hosting a round of the dating game and the hottest butch/hottest femme contests.  She also presented me with roses that are in full bloom on my desk as I write this, a paper chain boa filled with wonderful words of thanks, and many pages of photo collages with personal notes from people

On behalf of the Dyke March Committee, Jo and Chris, presented me with an amazing plaque that included a photo of me speaking at last years rally and words of appreciation for my financial support over the years

And who could forget Steele's 'Toast Roast' that so poignantly summed up my last decade of work that even I was reminded of a thing or two!

Tons of prizes were given out to all the contestants that participated and special Last Call Tshirts were sold as a charity fundraiser for a local nonprofit.
